1. Automatic Rebar Tagging in Sections
A tool that automatically places tags for visible rebars in section or detail views. The tool could:
-Detect and tag only visible rebars (based on view range and visibility),
-Display type, diameter, spacing, and quantity,
-Avoid overlapping tags,
-Allow basic customization (leader type, tag offset, tag family, etc.).
2. Automatic Section Dimensioning for Beams
A tool for adding automatic dimensions in beam cross-sections:
-Detects overall concrete dimensions (width, height),
-Dimensions concrete covers to rebars,
-Dimensions stirrup spacing and positions of longitudinal bars (if visible),
-Applies pre-defined dimension styles.
3. Automated Drawing Creation for Concrete Elements
A powerful tool to generate standard drawings for basic concrete elements:
- Supported elements: Walls, slabs, beams, columns,
- Automatically generates: Plan, section, 3D view, rebar schedule,
- Places views on a pre-defined sheet layout,
- Applies view templates, tags rebars, dimensions automatically,
- Supports batch processing (for multiple elements at once).
4. Automatic Rebar Schedule Export (PDF/Word)
An export tool that allows users to:
- Export selected rebar schedules to PDF or Word format,
- Choose which "Partitions" (from rebar parameters) are included in the schedule,
-Optionally combine partitions or separate them into individual files,
-Apply templates to match office standards (logo, table style, title block, etc.),
-Save to project folder with structured naming (e.g. Rebar_Schedule_B1_Walls.pdf).
Thank you for all your work on ModPlus – it’s an excellent plugin suite that’s already helping many of us work smarter in Revit. I hope you find these ideas useful and worth considering for future development.
