Web License Server. Localization, seat reservation, and other new features

We are pleased to present a major update to the Web License Server, which includes new features that we will describe below.
Localization
The Web License Server is now available in German, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese.

User colors and search
You can now assign a unique color to individual users or user groups:

The color is also reflected in the list of connected users.
Additionally, a search function has been added to both the user list and the connected users list.
Workplace reservation
A new feature has been added to allow reserving workplaces for specific users. The corresponding option has appeared in the user list:

The logic is simple: as long as the user assigned to the workplace has not connected, the workplace remains reserved and will not be given to other users. The number of reserved but not yet occupied workplaces is displayed in the Worplaces block:

If you use the option Allow all by email domain name and wonder “How can we use seat reservation?”, nothing changes — just add the user to the list. This option and the user list have always worked together. Previously, the user list became unavailable when the option was enabled. In this update, we removed that dependency and added an explanatory note to the user list when the option is active:

Permissions
A new section has been added — Permissions. In this section, you can configure a blacklist and/or whitelist to filter incoming connections. A guide for filling out the lists is available directly in the section:

Collecting statistics only from allowed users
A client contacted us with a problem: data from a dismissed employee still appeared in the statistics. This happened because statistics were being collected from any user who had the Web License Server identifier set in their ModPlus settings, regardless of access rights. At first, we considered enabling filtering by default but quickly rejected the idea. For example, a company might have a license for 10 seats, but 20 employees might have configured the server connection — allowing the company to assess plugin usage and demand. Therefore, we made filtering optional and added a clarification:

Permissions (Blacklist and/or Whitelist) will always be applied!
We hope these updates make administering the Web License Server more flexible and functional! If you have any feedback or suggestions for the Web License Server, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
Enjoy working with ModPlus!
