Revit. Sheet numerator 3.0. Collections, non-printable characters and modification of existing numbers
We present you a new version of the plugin Sheet numerator 3.0!
Revit 2025 that came out this year gave us such a great thing as Sheet Collections and we finally got around to sheet plugins and added support for collections:
And not only visually are collections taken into account, but also when numbering through the plugin - if sheets are in a collection, their numbers are not unique and repeating the number by the plugin will not display warnings.
Collection accounting has also been added to other plugins – Sheet copy, Copy sheets to documents, Sheet export.
And for those who have not yet upgraded to version 2025, we have added support for non-printable characters. In simple numbering, non-printable characters can be added to prefix and suffixes:
For this purpose we had to mix old (WinForms) and new (WPF) technologies and when working with the plugin in certain cases you may see visual errors. There is nothing wrong with them, we just haven't figured out how to fix them yet.
As you may have noticed in the screenshot above, there is a checkbox in front of the start number that allows you to disable the start number. This small feature allows you to use two algorithms:
- if the start number is enabled - sheets in the group will be numbered taking into account the start number and the specified prefix and suffix.,
- if the start number is disabled - the sheet numbers will remain the same, but the specified prefix and suffix will be added to the number.
But that's not the only new feature that allows you to modify an existing sheet number! We have added a new group - Decrease or increase a number in a group:
It works simply: you specify an integer and the plugin modifies the existing sheet number by adding or subtracting the specified value. The text before and after the number remains unchanged!
Also, in response to requests from our users, we have added the ability to rename (change the name, not the number) sheet and delete sheet directly from the sheet tree:
Finally, we have changed the licensing system for this plugin: there will no longer be any working or non-working options - now there will be a 30-day trial version. You can try out all the features of the plugin and then decide for yourself whether you need a license for it. Or you can just buy a subscription and use all the plugins!
Enjoy your work with ModPlus!
