Introducing a new plugin for AutoCAD – Dimensions by line!

The plugin is designed for automatically creating dimension chains along a specified line or arc. The plugin analyzes drawing objects and places dimensions between them in a single pass, eliminating the need to build each dimension manually.

Key features

Two construction methods. A dimension chain can be built either as linear — along a segment, or as arc-based — along an arc defined by a circle center and two points.

Flexible configuration via presets. All dimension creation parameters are saved in configurations that can be duplicated, renamed, exported, imported, and deleted. This lets you quickly switch between different dimensioning scenarios.

Dimension settings. For each configuration, you set the dimension style and the offset of the dimension line from the objects. The preview option shows the result before the dimensions are created, and grouping combines sequences of identical dimensions into a single entry with the number of repetitions.

Precise object selection. Filters by layers, colors, and specific objects let you dimension only the elements you need. Each filter has a quick search and buttons for selecting all, clearing the selection, and inverting it. A separate option allows searching for intersections with blocks only by their outline, without accounting for nested objects.

Cyclic operation. After construction, the plugin repeats the point request, letting you create several dimension chains in a row until you cancel with the Esc key.
