New design of ModPlus
Meet the new unexpected update! Now the ModPlus plugin will have its own design library. But not at once…
It was a radical decision - to replace the used design library with your own. And there are several good reasons for this:
First of all, I didn’t really like the design that was before (and for the time being it will still be partially). Too “color”. And besides, you can also install more than 60 color options, some of which are simply terrible. Now it will be easier - there will be only specific topics that I myself will create. At the moment there are 17 of them.
Secondly - the problem with the update. Those who have long been using the plugin will surely remember a few global updates of the entire plugin. These updates were associated with the decoration library. If something changes and is being repaired in it, then everything needs to be updated. Now I can update my own design library without these problems. And most importantly, I can fix bugs myself, without waiting for the developers of a third-party library to do this.
Thirdly - if different plug-ins are installed on the same computer that use the same design library, then one of the 95% plug-ins will not work. Some users have encountered this situation. And, given that the library is quite popular, the chance of such incompatibility is great. Now there will be no such problem, because only I will use my own design library in my plugin.
And a little about sad things - I can't replace the decoration library in all functions with a wave of a magic wand. Implementation will occur gradually. To date, I have implemented a new design in one function for Renga, in one function for Revit, and in two functions for AutoCAD — to make sure everything works fine. And of course the Configurator is now also with a new design.
