New function for Revit. Walls Reinforcement

Published: 14 September 2018

Meet! New blockbuster in ModPlus - a function Walls reinforcement!

This is the largest project of all that is available in the ModPlus plugin. The function was developed over half a year and has already passed the testing phase of some of its components on real working projects.

The function allows you to reinforce all the walls at once on the same level. At the same time, the function works according to the principle of interrelation between the main reinforcement of walls and the reinforcement of intersections and openings. This means that the parts in the intersections and in the framing of the openings will be installed depending on the diameters and the position of the main reinforcement of the walls.

The function takes into account the norms of SP 63.13330 as much as possible to implement. Of course the correct reinforcement will depend on the user.

The function is simply stuffed with features that you will not find anywhere else. For example, the vertical reinforcement of the walls is decomposed from the intersections, there is a built-in calculation of the length of the anchoring, the stirrups can be created at an angle of 45 degrees with the girth of the reinforcement and much more.

Of course, the first version of the function can not be perfect and there will necessarily be small problems in it. But now the identification and correction of such problems will depend on the responsiveness of users.

And yes - it's a paid function. And it is, in comparison with all the previous functions, expensive. But I'm sure it's worth it! The free version will allow you to create a basic reinforcement of walls without studs. Full (paid version) will allow you to create hairpins, reinforcement of intersections and framing of openings.

And a surprise for all those who have read up to this point - until the end of September the subscription price will not change! And this means that you can purchase a subscription to ALL functions for Revit (including Walls reinforcement) for a whole year for only fifty dollars! Hurry!

On this I have everything. Enjoy your work with the plugin ModPlus!

New functions for Revit

Published: 01 July 2018

If you are not only a Revit user, but also an AutoCAD user, you know that in ModPlus plug-in for AutoCAD there are so-called mini-functions. Those functions that are too small to create them as separate plug-in functions.

Of course, and for Revit such functions should have been expected to appear. And now this day has come - meet the new Tools Function, which is a collection of such mini-functions. And it starts right away with three mini-functions: 2D-3D mode of grids, Hide / Show category and Notching distance. In this case, the Notching distance is the function that so many have been waiting for! And in order not to be verbose, I prepared a video for you:

Try it, leave your comments, tell your colleagues! Enjoy your work with the plugin ModPlus

Transferring the user settings storage folder

Published: 16 June 2018

userdata move

Recently there was news under the name New principles of storing settings, in which I reported that some of the settings were moved to the registry and only the settings of the Functions remained in the configuration file. Unfortunately, this did not solve all the problems. To be more precise, I did not solve one basic problem - the problem of access to the configuration file. So far this is the most common problem.

However, in Windows, a special directory is provided for storing such data, for which you do not need administrator rights to write. It is located on the path C:/Users/{user name}/AppData/Roaming and is usually hidden from the user's eyes. Which is logical - it's better not to rule anything there. It is in this folder that all user settings will now be stored. Today I released an extensive update that performs one basic task - moving the /ModPlus/UserData directory with all the contents to the C:/Users/{user name}/AppData/Roaming/ModPlus/UserData directory.

As I said - the update is extensive and affected many components of the plugin: Configurator, Auto Update Module, AutoCAD work libraries, as well as several Functions: for AutoCAD it is - Standards, Notes, Specifications and ESKD. For Revit – External dimensions on the plan and Dimensions by line. Also, some minor (and not very) errors were fixed. As always, you can read about all the changes in the Change story.
